Ricardo Pineda Guzmán is a Sustainable Development Engineer and decarbonization specialist from Honduras. He was named by the United Nations as one of the 100 Young Climate Champions in 2019, and a Young Leader for Development EDD21 by the European Commission. He has served as a climate negotiator for Honduras towards the United Nations Framework on Climate Change, and now coordinates the adaptation component of the National Decarbonization Strategy of Honduras. Currently, he is the director of Sustenta Honduras, the first non-govermental organization focused on Action for Climate Empowerment (ACE) and climate adaptation in the country. He is also a Global Strategy Youth Fellow at SilverLining.
