Dr. Annmarie Eldering brings more than 30 years of experience in atmospheric science, air pollution, greenhouse gases and remote sensing to SilverLining.
She spent over two decades at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, serving as Project Scientist for major satellite missions including the Tropospheric Emission Spectrometer (TES) on the Aura spacecraft and the Orbiting Carbon Observatory-3 (OCO-3), following earlier work on OCO-2. In these roles, she led scientific strategy from mission formulation through deployment, advancing global measurement of carbon dioxide and air pollution. She also served for five years as Deputy Section Manager and Section Manager in Earth Atmospheric Science, guiding nearly 100 scientists and technical staff.
Earlier in her career at the California Institute of Technology, she developed advanced models of aerosol formation and air quality in the Los Angeles Basin. Most recently at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), she worked on developing consensus standards for remote sensing measurements. Dr. Eldering holds a B.E. from Cooper Union and a Ph.D. from Caltech.
