SilverLining convened a public webinar bringing together leading experts in international environmental law and atmospheric science to examine emerging risks to the ozone layer from stratospheric aerosols and the potential role of the Montreal Protocol in addressing these challenges. The discussion featured legal scholar Dan Bodansky and Nicolás Esguerra, alongside Ken Jucks (NASA) and Samuel Paré (University Joseph Ki-Zerbo, Burkina Faso), and was moderated by SilverLining Executive Director Kelly Wanser. The session highlighted governance gaps, scientific uncertainties, and the key role of the Montreal Protocol as a reference framework for addressing these challenges through science-based oversight, sustained monitoring, and international cooperation.
